Robert Ashford, Rick Hind

Professor Robert Ashford explains how turning labor into capital can benefit everyone.  And Greenpeace’s Rick Hind let’s us know if how to find out if you are living near a toxic chemical plant.  Plus, Ralph answers more listener questions.

Robert Ashford  is Professor of Law at Syracuse University, College of Law where he teaches subjects having to do with the intersection of law and economics. Professor Ashford has authored and co-authored articles, book chapters and monographs on various subjects including banking, binary economics, professional responsibility, public utility regulation, socio-economics, securities regulation, and tax law.  His most recent work puts forth the idea that capital can be “democratized” to the benefit of everyone.

Rick Hind is one of the nation’s foremost experts on a variety of toxics issues . Rick Hind is the legislative director at Greenpeace USA  and for over twenty-five years has been the go-to source for journalists covering toxics and chemical security issues.  He has testified before Congress on multiple occasions and helped lead a successful global campaign to ban some of the world’s most dangerous chemicals and prevent new ones from being marketed.
